Images from a mid-term exhibit at Chelsea College of Art and Design. It led to a chain of discoveries about this my featured piece Been Around the Block. At first, I thought this would be an effective way of showing how negative and positive patterns and ideas were learnt during childhood. But I pushed that meaning onto the work and the disconnect between theory and form was obvious. I asked classmates to paint the unfinished blocks with make-up I had bought. It was all wrong. Later, I made it right.
